Fishing For Wisdom?
The UK-based brand Greys Fishing believes fishing is a spiritual experience that brings folks closer together. Hearing that was music to our ears. Greys came to us to provide new creative for their 50-year-old brand, and we dug their direction. We did research with their customers and came up with a strategy that spoke directly to their young outdoorsy fans.
We designed a trippy and breathtaking ad campaign to show off the fishing gear in beautiful settings. Because the fans care about authenticity, we didn’t use standard catalog models. Instead, we used fascinating people like Grammy-winning bluegrass artist Woody Platt, who also is a pro flying fishing guide.
Grey’s connection to nature-loving bluegrass folks can’t be understated. We knew it was important to cater to them with some nifty guitar picks as giveaways at a music festival. This aligned with their demographic, and the guitar pick was the same shape as the Grey’s logo.
