Hockey is not a game for the faint of heart. Our campaign for the South Carolina Stingrays had to reflect that recklessness and lean into an aggressive, menacing feeling. Visually, our campaign pulled from horror film techniques by uplighting hockey masks and jerseys to sell the intensity of hockey. We crafted creative that's as hard-hitting and rowdy as the players tearing up the ice. Through iconic outdoor ads and stylish TV spots, we enticed the public to get loud and be proud of their professional minor league hockey team, the Stingrays.
Our campaign's leading tagline, 'Wanna Go,' was a masterstroke. We borrowed this line from the ice, where it's used to provoke players, and repurposed it as a simple call to action for the public. Short, sweet, and delivering a double punch, it's a headline that truly works.
