Birra Moretti: Da-lee-shus Beer

Birra Moretti was looking for a fun giveaway item to help boost relations with the mostly male reps at beer distributors. We decided to blend the world of Italian “football” with American football, and developed our hybrid “Futbol Football”. It was a huge hit with the reps and was later sold to the public, subsequently winning a Judges Award and Gold Addy award. We also created a print ad campaign as fun to say as it is to look at, as well as case cards, retail displays, and sell sheets. We even ran Moretti ’s Twitter account for a while.

This mashup football was featured on ESPN2 World Cup of beer and helped Moretti get into the tournament. It was also featured in Advertising Age and lead to us winning Small Agency Of The Year (Southeast) in 2010.
