We had a blast executing this intense campaign for the Gadsden. We created a ton of merch and guerilla marketing that ruffled some feathers… What kind of person complains about free birdhouses? Wild.
The true piece de resistance of the campaign was the logo. What looks like a tree is a well-thought-out nod to the complex history of Gadsden Park, formerly Liberty Park. With the branches representing the original colonies and the roots representing an overthrown crown, the tree based on the liberty tree for which the park was originally named aptly captures the rich history of the Revolutionary War and the pursuit of freedom. Since Gadsden is part of Historic Charleston, it seemed fitting to link the logo to the land it’s on.
